SEGMENT #1 - "NewsWrap": Hungary's Constitutional Court invalidates the country's registered partnerships law because it is open to heterosexual as well as same-gender couples, while Sweden's highest court refuses to recognize the Canadian marriage of two Church of Sweden priests; both sides of the California Supreme Court challenge to Proposition 8 submit their briefs: Attorney General Jerry Brown surprisingly sides with Prop 8 opponents, while Kenneth Starr, the man who prosecuted Bill Clinton for his dalliance with Monica Lewinsky, will represent pro-Prop 8 forces, who also argue that some 18,000 same-gender marriages that were held in the state before Prop 8's passage should be nullified; U.S. President-elect Barack Obama names his first openly LGBT person and an apparently queer-friendly fellow Chicagoan to his incoming administration, and an openly gay man is rumored to be Obama's pick for Secretary of the Navy; the administration of outgoing President George W. Bush takes what is probably its final dump on LGBT Americans by refusing to join 66 other countries in supporting an unprecedented statement presented at the U.N. General Assembly this week calling for the human rights protections of sexual minorities, while a coalition of Arab countries condemns the initiative as a "social normalization" of homosexuality; and Manila celebrates Pride for the 14th time, while Hong Kong sees its first closet-busting Pride parade (written by GREG GORDON, with thanks to REX WOCKNER with BILL KELLEY, and reported this week by SHERI LUNN and RICK WATTS) [10:28] + Billboard for David Rakoff interview [:07]. . . . . . . . . . . 10:35

SEGMENT #2 - Many progressives in the U.S., especially in the=2 0LGBT community, are angry at BARACK OBAMA. The president-elect announced this week that he's invited prominent evangelical minister RICK WARREN to deliver the invocation at his inauguration. Pastor Warren heads Southern California’s Saddleback Church, and appears to be the successor to religious right leaders Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell on the national stage. He shares their views opposing reproductive rights and LGBT equality. There was extensive media coverage of Obama’s controversial pick when the story broke on December 18th, but none topped the insightful perspective of openly lesbian commentator RACHEL MADDOW on her self-titled MSNBC cable TV show (includes Warren's marriage-related comments during an interview last week with the "Wall Street Journal," and Obama defending his choice) . . . . . . . . 5:54

SEGMENT #3 - "Happy Holidays from 'TWO'" (via RICK WATTS). . . . :39

SEGMENT #4 – Canadian-born essayist DAVID RAKOFF is a pretty funny guy, but he's not just joking. Like his sometime collaborator David Sedaris, but with a worldview through a very different queer filter, Rakoff gained national attention in the U.S. with a series of public radio pieces. Many of those were included in his first book, "Fraud." He recently toured Australia to promote his latest collection, "DON'T GET TOO COMFORTABLE," where he got comfortable - but not too comfortable - with This Way Out's JOHN FRAME in Brisbane. . . . &nb sp; 7:56

SEGMENT #5 – "Pride on Screen 2008" promo (with STEVE PRIDE) . :34

SEGMENT #6 - "Audiofile Year in Review" promo (with JD DOYLE & CHRIS WILSON and produced with CHRISTOPER DAVID TRENTHAM). . . . . . . :48
